Philosophy Minor

Requirements for a Minor in Philosophy

Any student who is not a philosophy major or a major in PPE (philosophy, politics and economics) is eligible for a philosophy minor. Students cannot count philosophy courses for another major or minor towards the philosophy minor (or major). The requirements of the philosophy minor are the completion of six philosophy courses, including no more than two courses numbered below 010 and at least one course numbered 185 or 186.

No more than one course can be taken CR/NC for the major and the minor.

Students interested in graduate study in philosophy should consult with faculty members about which courses to take beyond the core requirements. The faculty can also offer advice about which languages you might need for advanced work.
