Model U.N.
The Model United Nations at Pomona College offers students the opportunity to participate in academic simulations of the General Assembly, Security Council and other U.N. bodies. Students become Member State delegates and debate global issues on the organization’s agenda, such as peace and security, human rights, economic and social development, and global health. Students gain experience in research, writing, public speaking, negotiation, consensus building and conflict resolution. Model U.N. team members will have selected opportunities for national and international travel in order to participate in Model U.N. conferences, as well as collaboration with the local chapter of the United Nations Association.
