Introduces students to health and stress-related areas within Psychology, with an exploration of both environmental sources of stress (e.g., sports, discrimination) and lifestyle choices (e.g., eating, relationships). Research on mind-body issues and health-promoting behaviors will be examined. Other topics may include medical ethics, pain, substance use and psychoneuroimmunology. Letter grade only. Prerequisites: PSYC 051 PO . Satisfies the following General Education Requirement(s), subject to conditions explained in the Degree Requirements section of this Catalog: Area 2
