Topics may include: Cauchy Riemann equations, harmonic functions, Cauchy’s theorem, Liouville’s theorem, Cauchy’s Integral formula, maximum modulus principle, argument principle, Rouche’s theorem, series expansions, isolated singularities, calculus of residues and conformal mapping. Students can receive credit for only one of MATH 135 PO or MATH 136 HM . Prerequisites: MATH 101 PO or MATH 131 PO or consent of instructor.
