Research seminar focuses on primary sources that have shaped the conceptualization of gender, sexuality and feminisms in Modern China, Japan and Korea. Topics include feminist interpretations and critiques of women’s status and inequality articulated activists and theorists, gender and nationalism, “comfort women,” sex rights and queer movements.
