Competing interpretations of the evolution of American involvement with states and peoples including: the end of the old imperial systems, the European era, the Cold War, economic interests, nationalist and cultural revolutions, wars, interventions and the Israeli-Arab conflict. (Africa, African Diaspora and Middle East, United States). Prerequisite: a HIST course.
