Description
This course introduces students to the comparative politics and political economy of Latin America, including South America, Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico. Examines elections, state institutions, regime type, civil society and social movements with particular attention to the changing politic of gender and race, class, religion, migration, economic inequality, political violence, and the built form of cities.
