Description
This course is offered in cooperation with the Draper Center. Students learn how to play and teach various sports, including Lacrosse, GaGa Ball, Soccer and various tag/teamwork games. They are then assigned to a local elementary school and work with kids as part of an after school program. Students gain valuable lessons in group management, social engagement and multicultural understanding. Prior knowledge of sports (lacrosse, GaGa, soccer, etc.) is not necessary, but a love of working with kids is mandatory. This is a graded course worth .5 credits.
