Description
Overview of the major neurotransmitter systems, drug-receptor interactions and synaptic transmission. Emphasis on the mechanisms of action of psychoactive drugs, including drugs of abuse, the biology of addiction and the neurobiology of psychiatric illness and neurodegenerative disease. Prerequisite: NEUR 101A PO.
