Abstract Algebra II: Galois Theory. The topics covered will include polynomial rings, field extensions, classical constructions, splitting fields, algebraic closure, separability, Fundamental Theorem of Galois Theory, Galois groups of polynomials and solvability. This course is independent from Math 174 and may be taken by students who have taken 174. Prerequisite: 171.
