Requirements for a Minor in English
To complete a minor, students must pass a total of six courses. These must include ENGL 067 PO and a course in the 170 series. One P/NC course is allowed.
Up to two creative writing courses (from the ENGL064 PO series and/or ENGL183 PO series) may be counted toward minor requirements.
Courses taken at other Claremont Colleges, in study abroad, or brought in by transfer for minor credit will be evaluated for eligibility by the department chair. Students petitioning for minor credit will be required to produce course syllabi. Only one such outside course can be counted toward the minor.
