This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of French Phonetics and pronunciation, based on the use of International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) and the method Verbo-tonale (MVT), focusing on the concept of Oralit (sounds, body gestures), and how it relates to speech production and communication. Students will learn how prosody includes rhythm, intonation and syllable stress in French speech which is crucial to achieve effective communication. Satisfies the following General Education Requirement(s), subject to conditions explained in the Degree Requirements section of this Catalog: Language Requirement
