This course presents students with a broad spectrum of techniques, approaches and concepts of contemporary biochemistry and build upon the experiences and skills developed in Chem115 or any equivalent introductory biochemistry course. Students will perform a semester long project to develop hypotheses involving the structure and function of biological macromolecules or a biological system, design and perform the experiments to address the research question and work in groups to analyze and communicate their findings. Prerequisites: CHEM115 or its equivalent Satisfies the following General Education Requirement(s), subject to conditions explained in the Degree Requirements section of this Catalog: Area 4
