Global Climate Change Biology. Relying on scientific literature, this course examines documented shifts in geographical ranges, seasonal phenology, community interactions, genetics and extinctions related to global climate change. We will explore biological outcomes of major climatic events such as the last ice age, evolutionary and ecological patterns related to ongoing climate change, and attempts to predict biological consequences of future climate change. Letter grade only. Prerequisite: BIOL 041E PO . Satisfies the following General Education Requirement(s), subject to conditions explained in the Degree Requirements section of this Catalog: Area 4
