The classical mechanics of Newton, Lagrange and Hamilton. The harmonic oscillator, the two-body problem, systems of oscillators and chaos. Heavy emphasis on problem solving. Prerequisites: PHYS 041 PO  and PHYS 042 PO , or PHYS 070 PO ; MATH 032 PO  or MATH 107 PO ; and completion of/or concurrent enrollment in MATH 060 PO .
