An introduction to electricity, magnetism and waves, as summarized in Maxwell’s equations of electricity and magnetism. Emphasizes the concepts of electric and magnetic fields and their interactions with charged particles, ultimately leading to the great synthesis of electricity, magnetism and light. Prerequisites: PHYS 070 PO and completion of/or concurrent enrollment in MATH 030 PO . First years only; others only with permission. Half-course.
