Examines major mobilizations beginning with the Revolution of 1910. Focuses on labor, peasant, guerrilla and indigenous movements. Seeks to uncover history of Mexico’s armed left and to draw links with contemporary groups. Will look at how today’s Zapatistas draw on a tradition of legal and clandestine mobilizations.
