LGCS127 PO - Quantitative Variation on Language

Quantitative exploration of variation across linguistic structure (syntax, morphology, phonology). Focus on language-internal and cognitive influences on variation, with practical experience in quantitative variation analysis tools and methods. Additional topics: Study of how such variation develops across society, time, and space. Letter grade only. Prerequisites: LGCS010 PO and one additional LGCS course.
