This seminar will explore current scientific and socio-cultural understandings of substance use disorders. Using a bio-psycho-social approach, the course will examine the etiology, prevention, development, diagnosis and treatment of substance use disorders across the life span. Letter grade only. Prerequisite: PSYC 131 PO .
