History of Africa from the nineteenth century to recent times. Attention given to political and economic aspects of Africa’s development process. Methodological and theoretical frameworks utilized by Africanists, as well as current debates and trends in African historiography are covered. (Africa/African Diaspora, South Asia, and the Middle East)
