A survey of Mediterranean history from the first through the fourteenth centuries, focusing on the close interaction among the Latin, Greek and Arabic worlds. Special attention will be paid to how Jewish, Christian and Muslims scholars processed the ancient Greek and Roman intellectual and political ideas. Letter grade only.
